Any one try it before? Are there any rear ends that could easily be used to do it?

the only one that ive heard of is that victory red ss project, but im sure theres gotta be some way to.. the saturn sky redline and pontiac solstice gtp have the same engine as the cobalt ss/tc only they are rwd, that would be a sick project if anyone got it done with that engine.

You cant just swap the drivetrain over, read over the anguish that Rod has gone through just to make the thing driveable, its not even a street car anymore technically.

You can't really compare Rod's project to any others though. JBP put him through hell and back... and really made the project a bigger deal than it should have been.

As far as a simple swap to RWD. The Gas Tank is in the way... so you'll have to convert to a Fuel Cell in the Trunk. From there... you're on your own. A lot of custom work to be done. If you've got the money... anything is possible.

But, since you're on this forum... asking if it is possible... we can all assume that you don't have the money to make it possible... otherwise you wouldn't have to ask the question.

If you want RWD... buy a RWD car. Its as simple as that.
