seatbelt ratchett

so whenever you take off the seatbelt its suppose to get automatically feeded into the side panel
my driver one stopped doing this. so each time i take off my seatbelt i have to pull it and feed it into the back panel

how in the world do i fix this because it is reallly annoying can someone help

Uh.....either the racheting system broke and it wont pull it or....well actually thats the only reason, take off the lower cover and see whats going on in there, lubricate if necessary.

sounds like its broke...and u need a replacement

yeah im not sure whats wrong with it. my friend who has a 07 ss said his did the same thing and he went to chevy and they replaced it. i have to go there to get my fan fixed and my hazards fixed too i just havent found the time to go there.
maby ill go next week
