Has anyone ever done this before. I am putting leds in my lights and did a flat black paint job on them today and there coming out crazy looking. Im looking at doing something to the lens also and found this on ebay. What is your opinions with this.

here's a sample of my headlights that i just painted this morning. I did 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of flat black. I wetsanded with 600/1000/2000. Im putting 280k mcd super bright white leds in there. I have 8000k hids too. What you recommend to clean my lens with before putting the lights back together. Like what is the best way to get fine scratches out and just make them look brand new.

With Flat black paint.

yeah guess im just going to clean the lens and not touch them. I do have a extra lens though to play with. I think nightshades would be overkill unless i did like one light coat and then cleared coated it.

My personal opinion is that I think they look like crap just painted with one coat of VHT.

Just my opinion though. Looks like someone painted it with a sharpie.

Yeah im not going to touch the lens but just clean them up. What do you mean that it looks like someone painted with a sharpie? Are you referring to my picture.

I meant if you did that on the outside of the housings.

yeah im just going to clean them up some because i bought them used. Just taking my time with all of this stuff. Friday im using a two-poxy adhesive to glue down the leds and me and my friend are going to start sodering them up and testing.

yeah thanks for the info. They look cool in the pictures so that is why i wanted to ask. I figured any sticker on the headlight wouldn't look like and would prolly wear off eventually.

i have wetsanded one lens with 1000 and 2000 grit and just need to buff it now.
