Taillight tint Question

when tinting the taillights how do i tint everything except the reverse light circle?
whats the easiest way to get a perfect unpainted circle

i used masking tape and traced the small groove with a razor blade, though I am very skilled with a blade

i've heard of people taking masking tape and laying out strips and then using a compass to draw the circle on it then cutting it out with scissors. and i've heard someone found a sticker that fit over the white part.. get creative, just take your time.

i tried that but it seemed that i would do one that was fairly good but the other one was not as great

I used tape and traced the lid of a can onto it, then cut it by hand with an exacto

i just did, it i just used the top of the spray can and used tape inside to hold it on. came out great

definately better is that VHT nightshade? it looks really dark

on the first one i used a very small amount of vht and i didnt cover up the reverse lights on the second i covered them and made it alot darker

how many coats did you use? I did 3 and then clear coated.

2 one heavy and one no as much

i did mine in several small to medium layers and wet sanding after each layer dried, took forever but then i had and extra set of lights so i had the luxury of doing so

yea i probably will pick up another set of lights too
