ya he did just the boot, i got the CV joint inspected before i had anywork done, they said it was fine to do just the boot cause no dirt or water had gotten in it.

thanks for the heads up, ill make sure to keep an eye on it.

Agreed on complete axle replacement. They don't run that much and come with warranty rather than rebuilding.
