thats right.

last night i pulled my car in the garage and taped off a total of 9 nicks the largest being about the width of your pinky nail. i plan on applying the paint at noon today and around 6pm tonight apply some protectant and let it sit until sometime tomorrow.

my question is with those SMALL little touch ups how long must i wait for a wash and for a wax?

the guy that my family uses told me for the small stuff to use clear nail polish ( yes thats right)

he said it will act as a clear coat.

well i went to apply the nail polish a second ago...all that was in the house is clear nail hardener..will that be equal to the effect of normal polish or should i just run and get some?

im having my bowties painted right now at a body shop he is doing it for free since i got him a ass load of busniness after some of my friends saw my dash trim.

i dont trust myself with a buffer.

after this paint sits i plan on rewaxing it again and put polish on it * first time to do it on this car*

hopefully that should cure the swirls

If you tape it off, it shouldn't be noticeable at all. It's only really noticeable when you overlap the actual paint. ;)

Or if they happen to be fairly large chips.
