what oil is best?

hey guys, i just ran out of dealership free oil changes lol, so im lookin to get some advice on what oil you guys recommend to put into my car? I used Royal Purple before in my ol truck and it ran great, but its freakin spendy lol. would appreciate some suggestions. Oh and Also would like to know what you guys recommend for oil filters? I used to use Fram Toughguard filters, but i have been out of the oil change loop for awhile lol

i use mobil 1 fully synthetic 10w-30 i have 83k miles under 75k use 5w-30

i say the best oil is the kind that is not spilled in the gulf of mexico that stuff is no good

LOL! nice! haha, ya i been hearing Mobil 1 is pretty good, i remember seeing a thread in here somewhere about which oil is best, but couldnt find it for the life of me.

just went in and got some mobil 1 synth, and was lookin at the filters, Are the cobalts really Cartridge Filters? i could have sworn i did an oil change on my car before and it was a reg filter.

Nope, all the Ecotec motors are cartridge filters

i just put valvoline synthetic in mine.

castrol syntec blend. although i think vegetable oil is the best because it isnt as bad for the enviroment.haha

im a ASE certified tech i only run mobile 1 full synthetic, i have pulled motors apart with 200k miles and still look extremely good with no build up what so ever.

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 and an Ac Delco fitler.

ya i got Mobil 1 Synth 5w-30, and a fram toughguard filter.

Mobil 1 (since 1st oil change) and FRAM weatherguard filter till Mobil gets their out here (should be next oil change)
