lol flip it to parking when you get in the car and 20 seconds later flip it back to auto lights. its the perfect delay without spending any money. Plus the "timer" is fully adjustable

just afraid about forgetting to flip it back.. my left door speaker doesn't work (which i hear is a common issue) and so it doesn't alert me if I leave my parking lights / Halo's on..

I appreciate the idea!

so the options here are buy a speaker or try to come up with some sort of timed delay system for your lights?

I do plan to get speakers someday to fix the door speaker issue..

but I think for right now i'm just going to keep thinking about the AutoLights dilemma (find some way to permanently disable them (not resistor way) if anyone knows of another way, please let me know. :)

Right now the only issue is that my autolights will turn my HID's on during the day if there is something shading the sensor (garage, shadows, etc..) but that way I do not have to worry about constantly flipping the switch on / off. It also doesn't use my halo's.. but maybe i'll come up with some other ideas.

If you permanently disable the autolights you're going to be flipping the switch anyway.

right, but the times i'd be flipping them on manual will be when i need them on.. (night) etc.. so it will be obvious when I stop somewhere that I need to turn them off.. I mean I would love to leave them as AutoLights.. but I just don't like the idea of them turning on and off during the day based on shaded areas... don't want to kill my HID's.. lol

Quality HID ballasts aren't going to have an issue hot igniting, cheap eBay ones might.
