I need some help please with my 07 cobalt 2.2 liter, with a check engine light and code po 455. after deleting the code I installed a new dealership gas cap, and a purge valve solenoid from auto zone and the light still comes.
I would appreciate any input.

Yeah I'm getting the same code and did the same fixes well purge solenoid I did waiting for the gas cap. If it still come on after that. The next thing will. Ring to have a smoke test done. Also check all of your evap lines and make sure not cracked and check your filler tube too. You never know

The other possibility is a bad fuel tank pressure sensor. It's on the side of the EVAP canister.

Thanks yello eye. Today my info center showed to check gas cap. I put a brand new one on a month ago. Now what do I do? Is this a process of elimination? I hate to keep buying parts if its not the problem. Should I get a smoke test?
thanks

Thank you yelloeye. Can you tell me where the evap canister is located so I can find the fuel tank pressure sensor?
I would really appreciate it.

It's the black box looking thing by your gas tank with the plastic lines.
