    Pulling RR Brk Drums??

Thanks for the input guys ! But I just used a 3-claw puller and it busted them loose just fine and easily. Didn't want to risk beating the drums out-of-round.

    Front sway bar question

You'll reuse the swaybar brackets/retainers & bolt(s). Reuse the links. Do a search on Ebay for insulators. There's alot listed there. They vary according to the thickeness of the swaybar. If you take an insulator off of the bar it should have the corresponding number molded on it...

    Need higher top speed...

For better acceleration, think better air in/air out. At the ZZPerformance website they have the LE5 air inlet tube. It is just under $100 and eliminates the factory bladder style set-up. It will fit the LAP or L61 2.2l, no problem. Then get a K&N drop-in filter. There are nice stainless...

    2009 Cobalt

Get a Air Inlet system with a K&N filter. I used the ZZP 2.4 inlet pipe for $99 and a K&N. A header can be had on Ebay cheap, then a 2.25" stainless catback.

    Pulling RR Brk Drums??

Got a 2010 Cobalt with the 5 lug rr drums and they're already rusted to the hubs. Tried some heat and a heavy hammer with no success. Didn't want to get too heavy handed with it. Should I use a large 3-legged puller at this point?? What have you folks used? Thanks Dean

    intake

I did the ZZP 2.4 intake that eliminates the factory baffle/bladder. Added a K&N filter in the factory housing too. A 5 minute installation and pretty inexpensive. $50 for the filter, $99.99 + shipping for the tube. Not a big change but it should help when I get the header, 2.5" downpipe and...

    LS / LT vs LTZ

Newbie here too. Basically, what I found when I went out shopping was........... the LS was the entry level with crank windows and very limited options the LT was standard with a/c, pwr windows/locks and whatever else came in the "package". Haven't seen an LTZ yet. Personally, I'd...

    Specific LE5 Content????

Well, the "badges" were not the only unique items to set it apart from a normal LT. It also has a unique front and rear fascia, lower sill moulding/fascia and specific wheel/tire combo that is also identified as legit by the production label that is in the drivers door jamb. The front fascia...

    Specific LE5 Content????

I'm not challenging the accuracy of your info.........but sales literature isn't always right or up-to-date throughout a production year. What does one call it if it left the factory with "SS" badges on it??? I guess I'll research ALL the other RPO codes and see what else it is when I get...

    Specific LE5 Content????

Ok, I checked the data under the trunk mat and it IS a "2LT". So does that mean an "SS" came with a 2.2/LAP or is it still just a "Sport Coupe" wannabe? And that's OK with me, at least it's a factory "bridesmaid" kinda deal with a cool factory package.

    Specific LE5 Content????

This makes more sense. It's not an LE5 that's for sure, it has the LAP. Thanks

    Specific LE5 Content????

Ok, well I'll dig into this more in the future........... The car has "SS" style rear fascia and front fascia. Definitely different than the LT's I've seen with the mesh grill in the lower fascia and the foglamps in the front fascia. Maybe someone upgraded the car when it was in a little...

    Specific LE5 Content????

Hey, it's cool, I've fully accepted that it's not an LE5 and have moved on. Just want to decode the trim level to see if it is an SS, LT or LS. Or did they not even offer a normally aspirated 2.2 in an SS in 2010?? Thanks again.

    Specific LE5 Content????

And added the lower rocker mouldings and emblems too. One last question..............What would the trim code(s) be for an "SS"?? There would have to be some kind of body trim code to add the SS specific content on the assembly line. Thanks!

    Specific LE5 Content????

Nope. All it has is "Cobalt SS". I suspected, at first, that it was a rebadged LT that someone turned into a "wannabe SS". Then I saw that other normally aspirated Cobalt SS's were made and assumed it was one of those. Don't know what to think at this moment other than it's at least an LT...
