07 into 09 motor swap

I have a 2009 cobalt LT and I swap the engine from 2007 LT and now the car won't start and no communication with ecm / tcm

You need a crank relearn.

It was at the dealer but they didn't get it started do you think the computer has to run the program for the 2007 engine

I think that's an entirely different motor. Your original motor was an LAP with VVT, IIRC the 07 is an L61 without VVT.

So what will i have to do to get it running

07 ecu, wiring harness, probability other bits.

Did all that not starting still

Does the motor you installed have VVT? Did that motor run before you installed it?

 

[dahma]

No vvt, yes it did run. When installed lost communication with all modules except bcm which gave the code b1370

Is the pinout correct for the harness?
