got an airbag light on that comes on and off once and awhile intermittent, flashes "Service Air Bag" seem to come on especially when i brake hard?? anyone have this issue 2006 LS 2.2L

actually theres a connector right under the seat u have to disconnect to take out the seat ive disconnected this before perhaps this is why, i took it into chevy and they said there is a part that cost 180$ that i need?? without it i would have no air bag activation on a collision!!

i had this problem too, but its when i have a passenger come in. now it doesnt throw on service airbag for a while(2 months), but its wierd.

seems to be intermittent i couldve scanned it myself but i got them too for 90$ Found a DTC history code B0081 passenger pressence invalid serial data recieved U2100 controler area network canbus comm, there is a TSB 09-09-40-003 for a possible defective harness on Passenger seat belt, they found a kink in my harness so mostly likely cause is the Passenger seat belt assembly , so the part i need is a BELT KIT, which is 182$ CAN without labour basically there is a wire in there that is broken and the signal cant get through the the CPU so the SIR light is alluminated, but to be sure the only way to find out is to throw a scanner on your car

did u read my post right???
the dealership hooked up a scanner and i also hooked one up in the shop i work in we got a hisory code which does not erase until u fix it (AKA) HARD CODE B0081 passenger pressence invalid serial data recieved and a NETWORK CODE U2100 controler area network canbus comm the pinpoint test lead us to the Passenger side seat belt switch the part cost 182$ nothing more to be said

ohh wow u congrats i ll give a medal for knowing proper abreviation LOL dude the Alberta Trade apprenticehsip training is intense hands on theory training, and once an apprentice gets his Journeyman staus / Redseal he is consider a professional in his field of training basically we work 10months out of the year and go to school for 8weeks of technical training for 4 years until we get out Journeyman Ticket, all the instructors chosen to teach this training have to have at least two trade tickets, and are the selected out of all the Top TECHS in Canada, One of my intructors has his Auto / Diesel Heavy Duty Journeyman / Redseal tickets, and a TON of Chevrolet specialty training course's on top of that he is in the states as we speak attending a High Performance specialty course, basically our training gets makes us Licensed and gives us the practical training to work on vehicles not just learning off of trail and error and experience.

basically in Canada they dont hire any ol guy off the street with some mechanical experience and let him work on vehicles, if they do then he would be called a 1st year apprentice doing oil changes, tires, brakes, ETC. until he or she completes theres first year (8weeks of technical Training) u must have the technical training to work in a shop around here and specialty courses also which dealerships provide i will have my Journeyman / Redseal staus within the next year $$$$$$

ya i totally i agree with you, and not to offend anyone at all, but all i was trying to explain was how the Trade system works in Alberta to get into mechanics u have to willing and able to learn and work, so basically you find a shop thats willing to hire you on as an 1st year apprentice mechanic experience helps, then you work for about 8 to 10 months depending, then after you have gotten a totall of 1500 working hours in the shop they entitle you to go and attend your first year of technical training if you pass you get a promotion to 2nd year and you get a raise, you continue to do this until you 4th year, so ya most of the stuff we learn is from practical experience in the shop, but our 8 weeks of training we do every year is very intense if anyone has more questions feel free to ask

I'm at 17.50 an hour in my 3rd yr. Highest you can get is 25. Unless you go Highline cars. But in northern states you can make 35-50

right on ya thats pretty good, im just finishing my 3rd year and i should be up to 25$ an hour, but once i get my Ticket i think im goin up to Fort Mac starting wages there are 45$ to 60$ and hour im getting really fed up with the dealership systems and the flat rate BULL!!!
