If I straight pipe from the headers back will my O2 sensor check engine light come on? If so would having a small high flow cat help?

Yes it will. You can install a pair of spark plug non-foulers on that o2 sensor to negate the issue.

I am having problems putting the non fouler on the O2 sensor. The sensor is too long for the non fouler

Drill out the first one so it fits, use that one first and then put the second one on the end.

Basically like these.

Put the spacer on the sensor, then the isolator, then the whole thing into the downpipe. That way you're not risking breaking the sensor.
