so how would any of that work. cuz i dont really know what a wiring harness and what not is. i only knowa lil bout the lighting.

just splice the foglight wires into the headlight wires i would imagine.
I have fogs with HIDS coming in this week and there getting wired to the running lights(with a relay of course)The running light circuit is gonna be the trigger for the fog light relay.
If you wire the HID's directly to the headlight circuit it'll be too much of a load for the fuse/factory wiring.You would need to add a relay and pull power from the positive jump starter post.

my friend did that with his duramax and im trying to figure out the same thing.. I think he jumpered something in the fuse box.. maybe used a Diode.. cant remember what exactly he said but i was thinking about just wiring them up on a separate switch completely to stay on all the time
