homemade cold air intake?

just wondering if anyone has put together a cold air intake and how wel it compares to a company made intake?

30 bucks foe the MAF adapter the the rest was the piping and the little breather filter and the couplers,I didnt like the weird clamps they supply with it

I did the cold air elbow and it didnt like it at all,started misfiring at idle like crazy,made it into a SRI again and runs fine lol my car hates CAI's

ya but sc,huge difference.turbo pushes alot more cfm the the heaton M62.my buddy has a 2.2 sc and he raced my other buddy thats gt28rs turbo 2.2,the turbo kills him hard,no contest at any speed and he runs 8 psi on tc,the sc runs 11-12

What springs are you on?

Ksports that are cut like a mothaf***a in the front lol,When i put the springs in the back sat lower but i loved the ride.I cut 1 coil out but wasnt enough,the ride has stayed the same but i ended up taking a total of like 3.5 coils out haha,still rides real nice and sits close to where i want it,an inch lower would be nice but ima get 17's with a low pro and that should bring it down a bit more,we'll see,.
