This is my dads 04 F150 with 142k on it. The paint had seen better days. Its maroon so its really hard to get the whole effect but it looks like a brand new truck again. With that said this took me 4 hours total time to do by hand.

First step:

Wash your Vehicle I used meguires gold class on this truck. Then I used a shammy to dry it all off.

Second step: Compounding
I used Meguires Ultimate Compound. I like it because its effective and goes on and off like wax. It took me a little longer then normal due to the fact it had over spray all over the bed and tail gate. The trick is to use alot of elbow grease. I rub the compound in until it disapears. I only do one panel at a time. Then I remove it with a new micro fiber towel.

Here is the truck before hand.

After the compound:

Step three: Waxing I use different waxes for different cars. I choice to use Meguires Nxt generation on this truck to lock in the beauty of the paint. I apply one panel at a time then remove it with another micro fiber towel.

Step five wheels and tires:
I use several different products to clean various wheels. I choice to use black magic titanium wheel polish. and then finish the tires with meguires hot shine.

Step six: interior
I take all the mats out and vaccum first. Then I wipe down the dash and door panels with a damp rag to clean all the dust and dirt off. Then I apply Meguires Supreme Shine.

And after: not much change he keeps this thing spotless

After wiping down the black plastic on the outside mooreshine exterior armorall which most of yall cant get its for black plastic. You can also use the tire shine. Although its up to you. I also used turtle wax chrome polish on the bumpers. Here is the finish truck

It did for a minute when I was waxing it with the nxt gen wax. If you can find it nxt gen armorall is awesome! The shine last for weeks. Its really shiny though. Most people dont like there stuff that shiny so thats why I used the supreme shine.

I bought a sponge front auto zone that is a microfiber on one side and more like a regular sponge on the other. The trick with bugs is not letting them sit on there for days. I find it even hard to high pressure spray them off at a car wash. Bug and tar remover will take it off but immediatly was those spots with soapy water. Ive seen it turn a white car yellow where After you used it. You have a few minutes so dont freak out just dont let it sit on there.

very nice job, wow. I think I want to do this to my car now.

Now swirl marks or scratches?

In some problems I have to repeat process on the compounding, because I was doing it by hand. Sometimes scratches and swirls take some extra effort. Nothing a little patients cant fix. I got overspray off with the compound. It took me a long time. About an hour but it came off.
