you can wire an aftermarket shift light to any vehicle. I don't see the slightest reason to put one in an automatic besides rice.

i see what you mean now.. i didn't know the base models had a stupid indicator in the instrument cluster.

I doubt it'd be possible to just swap in the cluster.

Why would you want that in a Auto? If you REALLY want it though look into an Aeroforce Interceptor Scan Gauge setup.

i had a friend put a rpm gage that had a programable shift light built into it . he got it from autozone and just mounted it on his dash and wired it to the stock rpm gage

the upshift indicator in my car is retarded.Even though my rev limit has been moved up to 7000rpm,the up shift light still comes on at 6000rpm.It still works will cruising though for gas mileage purposes so thats nice .Contact vince @ trifecta and see if he is able to make the BCM turn the light on the cluster
