Power windows and doors.

I have the LS and I'm looking to install power windows and doors myself, has anyone done this yet? What packages did you use and how well has it worked out?

Most people use aftermarket kits because its the cheapest way to get it done.

power door lock

Me too i'm looking to put power door lock on my 2010 cobalt 4 doors sedan.There is lots for sale on ebay .I live in Can but will be goin to Florida in January so i'll wait till i get there,probably install it in spring when i get back cause i want to put undercoating inside my doors at the same time.I wonder where we get the power to come in the doors ,we have to run wire ??????

All info is best, the kits that have the best bang for their buck, how, needed tools. Anything! How about best panel to install with it for the buttons? Possible panel with lock AND window buttons?

get an aftermarket alarm system and then you'll need to get door actuators and install them so they move the locks

I had my dealer do that to my first cobalt. Had keyless, windows and cruise put in.

well if the system you get has a remote then yes you can do keyless entry by the way of just unlocking the door with the remote

don't want to burst ur bubble but i bought the same kit 6 months ago and the plastic piece that goes on ur manual actuator breaks and the aluminum rods they give u to install the motors bend, and the switches r universal so they look tacky but the wiring is good. so what i did is bought oem switches and oem actuators w/ the motors for about $300 and used there wirring kit and it works perfectly.. so i say hit up a junk yard or find a site that has the oem parts...o and forgot to mention the motors they give u r weak window takes forever to go up and down when they do work
