i think if you wet sand the metal to 1500 you can get a nice flat aluminum color. if you clear it, it will do the same thing as polishing and you will lose the matte black finish on the inside it will turn to gloss. also if you clear it with too rough of a grit it will just show the sanding marks. just some pointers :D

ya I know that,I have a buddy whos a pro painter,so im still undecided,I hit a spoke with 800 and thats when it started looking ashy(white) so still have a decision to make,:think:

try wet sanding. then clean it with paint thinner that's the only way you'll be able to tell. try 600, go to 800, then 1500, 2000 if you want. asfter being cleaned it should look like flat aluminum

ya you would think so,i thought so too but it just looks like white everyone was like they look white did you paint them white?they had to get right on em to tell lol.well see,ill try it out though

you dont like?I still have to finish the center caps,didnt have a DA so it took almost 7 hours lol

stands for dual action,it a compressed air driven sander,would of taken an hour tops with one
