didnt get much dun today.. just pulled the tranny off the block.. i needa go pick up a cherry picker to get it up on the engine stand

Have you bought a turbo yet? I have a ceramic coated 16g off of my DSM... only has about 20 miles on it. It'll go great on a car that's shooting for low to mid 300's.

I'll give you a great price on it, if you are interested.

Looking good...I plan on dropping those same rods and pistons in mine sometime next year...but I'm doing it w/out taking the engine out...

can any give me input on honing out the cylinders ? some people are telling me to hone it and some people are telling me not to

It depends. If you are using the same rings as before (your stock rings, you don't need to hone the cylinders... you just need to make sure you put the Cyl1 Top Ring back in the 1st Cyl, top ring... dido for all for. Must be an exact ring swap, as far as the cylinders are concerned.

If you are changing your rings, then you need to hone the Cylinders. You can buy the tool at an AutoZone or Advance Auto.

Get one like this style:

may i ask why not build ur valve train up or atleast get better valves since u gotta replace em anyhow..

running out of money lol..i cant get it rebuilt for 150.. aftermarket cost 700 just in parts.. our heads flow alright anyways and the turbo im getting is gunna choke out by 7200rpms anyways
