why? im looking to do some major mods to car and running auto isnt working it for me, i like full control. If it is possible i would go used for now, get off some dude from craigs and do what i got to do to install it and after i do all the motor mods and such then upgrade the clutch and all the stuff. I just want to know what i got to do if it is possible.

are we talking a punch hole like a Subaru or im going to have to go in with a saw, or nothing at all. and i would think (think) that the holes would mach and i wouldnt have to mess with the fly wheel and starter and junk. whats the scoop yo?

You're going to have to reprogram the computer along with new motor mounts, axles, wiring harness, and other bits. Not worth it IMO, trade for an already manual one man.

you will need to swap the entire wiring harness and reflash the ecu and even then i bet youll still have problems with it.new motor mounts trans mounts axles shifter assembly etc etc etc.for the time and money you put into this you could have bought a ss a did some nice mods lol.theres 2 people that come into mind on css that did swaps.i forget one but the other i think was dragonsfire?i could be wrong but he was 2.4 that swapped auto to manual and he said he's never do it again.same with a 07 ss that swapped from LSJ to LNF.the whole harness had to be changed from headlight to taillight. These arent hondas where its simple to put a b20 block with a b18c head, pop it into a hatch and put a ys1 trans in it.Hondas you can mix and match and its not difficult to get it working. These are designed to stay how they are unless you REALLY wanna put the money and time in.I would trade to a dealer for a 5 speed car IMO

NOt with out the SS wiring harness.its gonna be more work than what its worth. And you would have to swap engines as well.not worth it.waaay too much money and time.you can build your engine and auto trans with turbo and easily have a 11-12 second car.My buddy did that with his auto 2.2 balt.fully built and forged with auto on 25 psi :D

Right on. K now something almost the same, can I swap for a better auto trans? I have the base of base models, if my info is correct, it's
A 3 speed with electronic overdive.

And I know they have a 4 speed. Is this again a rediculous thought?

What about a ecu and harness from an lt xfe?

Keep your harness and ECu and you can swap in the 4t65e.your trans 4t45e.there both 4 speeds but for the price, you can have your 4t45e built with stronger clutches and bands and top it off with a HPtune(2007 and up only) or trifecta tune to raise line pressure for nice firm shifts.remember your stock 4t45e can handle up to 350WTQ.My buddys turbo auto was right around 300 wtq and his trans ended up going out.The extra stress fused some clutch plates together and cracked the clutch basket and the 2-3 shift solenoid got stuck so he only had 3rd and 4th if it wasnt slipping.
