the male/female connector, the blue ones, are probably loose. check them if so take some thick gauge wire and stick it in between the two

So for 05 cobalt how would you hook up halos to be on during the day. Someone told me brown and black from the side marker, but arnt those the little ones behind the orange side marker.

the lights are coming on when they dont need to is the problem not that they just go out its like the sensor is bad.

it has the automatic lights but you can manually overide them and they still come on. does anyone no where the sensor is located

sensor is on the dash. it's the little bubble thing in front of steering wheel. you prob see it everyday and don't notice it. more then likely ur putting somthing on the sensor hence turning on the lights.

if the lights will not go off at all even when the switch is thrown, that means there is a short circuit to a power source somewhere in the positive wire any where between the head lights and the switch.

Seeing as it's getting a bit confusing help us out by answering the following.

1.) are the lights always on?
2.) do the lights turn off by themselves during bright days with the sun overhead?
3.) if you shine a bright light on the sensor for a bit do the lights go off?
4.) can you turn the lights off by turning the stalk towards you?
