me vs honda

well i was looking through my time slips and i found a really funny one...i just could not help but share it with you guys.

so right before we staged i talked to the owner of this honda and he apparently goes to school with me at UTI. well i listened to what he had done in his car...i never looked at the engine bay...said he had done some stuff...sounded like full bolts ons or watever...i wasnt really paying attention much....lol....but he did say that he had the car down to 17s...which then i said...dam thats slow...he didnt like that...lol

so we lined up and here are the results...my car is 3191

after that run...i think he left the track cuz i didnt see him anymore.

the track sucked and i was heat soaked like no other...my coolant temps got as high as 217*F. im sure my ait's were up there as well.

hey dont worry about my low 15...i wasnt too happy with it either....but next time i go back to the track im sure im going to need a jacket and helmet

running a 19.8 i hope to god he had a 1987 CRX HF....thats just embarassing. i dont even think a stock civic runs 19's. my 93 civic wit a tired, beat up, oil leaking d16z6 runs faster lol. and what the **** is up wit the speed 3 runnin a 15.9?!?! stock they should run about mid to low 14s... yal got some crappy drivers down there lol.

I'd almost wanna put money on the fact that you raced a Mazda 3... not a Mazdaspeed 3. The trap speeds are what give it away. Horrible launch or not... a Speed3 will usually trap a good 10mph more than that in the 1/4.

Around the same, if I'm not mistaken. Its been a while since I've looked them up. Should easily trap 100mph, easily.

I can't get past 100.5MPH at Race City, stupid POS track........I really should go run at the Edmonton track and get myself 1 run in the high 13's

yup....im sure he was embarassed...and no it was not a crx...it was a civic, automatic and he was claiming mods.
