Been thinking about it a while and we need a thread with comparisons of stock and whatever spring you choose to go with. Please try to post up the exact same focal length and distance from the car. I'll start.

Stock SS/TC:

B&G Springs:

I can squeeze 1 finger in the back (its sitting on the uncut bumpstops)
Front is about 2-3 fingers.

U didn't cut stops? Ride must be hella bouncy. I'll post mine with the #1 springs and b&g springs.

Yeah, cause I like my fenderwells/tires/shocks. Not too sure how much farther the shocks can go without exploding. Tires will rub if I take out 1/4" of rubber.

Not a cobalt but :p I did have it lowered, Skunk 2 Tiburon Springs(stiffer than the Elantra springs skunk 2 offered) KYB GR-2 shocks, a rear hatch(strut)bar, adjustable progress rear swaybar, and lastly a custom alignment i loved it but I wanted more power so I got the SS/TC and sold the Elantra :( I miss her

Well I have 225 40/ 18 tires and I don't rub. I cut off half of the bumpstop and I don't rub fender well at all. Also ur not gonna do anymore damage then what ur doing to them already. Ur car is already sitting way lower then stock so just keeping it parked is compressng the struts/shocks passed the stock height. Cutting them would just make the ride more comfortable. I thoght the same thing as u but I hated how the ride felt

I'm running the same size tires and I know if I take off more than 1/4" im eatin fenderwell. I'm going back to stock today hopefully. I dont like how the front end rides either, the entire car feels...akward I guess. Missing my Sportlines.

Yeah that's why I tell people is something u have to adjust to when using b&g springs. I like my stance and my driving is more responsive with the low drop.

these are pretty good comparison springs. The #1 springs aren't that bad looking either. But the b&g springs are the best IMO

Drop isnt level on mine either so that bothers me. Only because its the back thats lower than the front.

Been that way with both sets of springs I've owned (sportlines, B&G) and both cars (06 LT coupe, 09 SS coupe). Sportlines were only on the 06 and B&Gs were only on the 09. Might just weld a couple pieces of box steel in place of the shocks lol (totally kidding)

Most performance springs will not be an even drop, almost never. The idea of the different levels of drop is for performance on the track, nothing else. That's why coilovers are a good option, you can make the ride height even for "show" and when you take it to the track, adjust them perfectly for the track and be able to power thru the corners.

I just find it odd that the springs drop the car lower in the back than the front, even with the car empty.
