good post ^^^
so there is no need to change the stock BOV, it will do jut fie if i am running 20 PSI?
with the AEM intake and theinjen charge pipe?
it should, most of my friends have bought aftermarket for louder sound
i dont need louder, the intake and charge pipe make the turbo sound loud enough without a upgraded BOV
you shouldnt need one
thanks that will save me some money, didnt realize that the stock BOV is as good as it is.
i was also woundering. i know this is going to sound stupid.
i was doing some looking at the turbo set up and i was not able to find the BOV on my car, was woundering where it is located?
There isnt a BOV, there is however a BPV, pretty much does the same thing but in a different manner. If you look behind your engine on the left side of the turbo is a small tan cap with 3 bolts and a vacuum hose running to it, thats where your BPV is.
3 bolts and a spring in the photo below.
so is there anyway to get rid of that one and get a regular BOV, or would i have to just run both. but i am planing on getting the injen charge pipe which by the looks of it does not have a BOV attachment place, so i guess it does not matter.
You can buy a block off plate, or there is a replacement one that is a piston design that is supposed to hold up to more pressure. Over all mounting an atmospheric BOV is robbing you of HP and being counter productive to your ECU even with proper tuning.
