So yesterday I got all my parts together and started a retrofit project. Currently all I have progressed with is taking my lights apart.
Note: I have never done this project ever.

Currently I have 2 passenger lights and 1 d side. Cost me about 80$ to get all 3. 1 passenger light is broken and I bought like that as a practice light to take apart and learn. During the process of learning iI managed to break the bowl -_-. But when I applied the concept on the actual lights im gonna run they came out great. Also learned to take off the bowl in the lights, a heat gun is best. Use lil heat on the retainer clips and BAM easy work.

Only driver side is sealed up. This was prior to sealing.

Passenger side was smoking up inside the projector. Took bulb out and saw it somewhat brown. I believe it was the harness that was no good. Blinker bulb blew out immediately. Have it apart with new hid bulbs on way and to test once again.

Retros are done. Only thing left to do is re align my bumper. Gotta find out how to do it all. Hood fenders lights and bumper. Maybe ill sell retros soon and get bigger projectors. I feel hella confident in building them now.

Thnx. I actually traded those retros because the lenses were to dark for my liking. Did not match car well enough. As for light output. No way I'm ever going back to stock headlights. I already built my 2nd set and am close to making my 3rd set.

I baked mine to pull my old sets apart, worked great. I would think a heat gun would create hot spots and possibly warp the plastics if not done carefully.

Stock housing with hid is a big no no. Stay with OEM bulbs out equivalent. The light reflection goes everywhere with stock housing. Blinds people and produces less lights.

This.

You will blind everyone, and I personally will hate you.
