I'd have a prop of some kind anyways, theres always going to be some kind of wind outside of the garage.

I'd have a prop of some kind anyways, theres always going to be some kind of wind outside of the garage.

I have the shock from the old hood, but you have to push the hood down to close it, so I'll probably never need it, no wind in the garage anyway, thats the only place it will be open

You say that now. IMO you should drill your stock hood strut and use it.

hood would'nt fit correct if I left the shock in, hoods only going to be on 4 or 5 mths a year, not to worried about it

Right because the shock still has air in it, remove that air and it won't do that. Then just drill a couple holes in the strut arm and get yourself a cotter pin.
