not the front page but at the top of the forum index page in the middle of the banner with something saying "COTM" but still keeping the other cars within the banner......maybe use last month and the month before that for the supporting cars or maybe nominated cars that came a close 2nd and 3rd place and use them as the supporting cars on the banner?

FYI, there is more than enough posting in the random chat thread, I think we have already gotten to the point where a chat room would be useful and the Admin here needs to seriously consider it.

That's not what I meant.

The admin's already know about this idea and is more than receptive into seeing this happen.

Shaggy said it once & he will say it again, He would like more posts in this forum and sub sections. Not just "the Lounge".

but isn't this forum powered by the ppl not the admin? so shouldn't the admin listen to the ppl if they are asking for a simple chat room? I'm just saying, the majority of ppl would most likely enjoy a chat room on here and I think if the majority do want a chat room they should be able to get one here. Am i sorta making sense?

You're making complete sense.

He just wants to make the post count in the automotive sections to get more active in that area.

Coming from him, if we create a chat box on this forum, people will never bother as much in other sections.

again, i don't see the problem, less clutter, better organized......yes? I think this forum needs a full re-organization, IMHO.

Try this:

Chat box takes away from forum posts.

If you take away forum posts, you take out our post per day ratio and make it smaller.

If you do that, then we become just another small car forum on the search engines.

lol that's what i'm trying to suggest, it would make it so much easier to help newbs out, i remember how i felt trying to get answers on a forum when i have a serious problem with my vehicle, chat rooms made it 10x easier to communicate. Otherwise the forum threads are awesome, just need that extra option for faster communication for those who might want that.

lol, we'll chill out with the spamming and just get over it and post ONE thread on it.

Spamming is long since over, soon as my original thread was changed back I stopped and went back to fix what I could. I will make a mess so that my point gets across to the person who didn't understand the first time but I always make the effort to clean up after because nobody else on here needs to see that crap.

Shall i nominate myself to re-organize things? I can start picking through the forum and make new threads with old info but turn them into sticky threads. We also need a DIY section specifically a tab on the top for DIY, I am more than happy to help out in anyway possible, i want this forum to get bigger and be better than fail.net ever was. I know from another forum I posted on in the past that the DIY section with a tab at the top is a wonderful thing. Just a matter of picking through the info and organizing it.
